Bad OCBC Account Opening Experience

I tried to open Ocbc Al Amin Bank Savings Account by online but rejected. Very bad banking service. I do not recommend this bank.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with OCBC Al-Amin. Being rejected for a savings account can be frustrating, especially if the reason wasn't clearly explained. Here are some possible steps you can take:

### **Possible Reasons for Rejection:**
1. **Incomplete Documentation** – Missing or incorrect documents (e.g., IC, proof of income, or address verification).
2. **Credit or Financial History** – Some banks check CCRIS/CTOS for financial behavior.
3. **Internal Bank Policies** – Certain banks have strict risk assessments for new accounts.
4. **Existing Account Limits** – If you already have multiple accounts elsewhere, banks may reject new applications.

### **What You Can Do:**
✅ **Contact OCBC Customer Service** – Call their hotline (03-8317 5000) or visit a branch to clarify why your application was rejected.
✅ **Try Another Bank** – Consider alternatives like **Maybank Islamic, Bank Rakyat, or CIMB Islamic**, which also offer Shariah-compliant savings accounts.
✅ **Check Your Credit Report** – If you suspect financial history issues, review your CCRIS/CTOS report for free at **Bank Negara Malaysia** (BNM).

**Alternative Islamic Savings Accounts:**
- **Maybank Islamic Savings Account-i**
- **Bank Rakyat savings account**
- **CIMB Islamic Savings Account**

If OCBC did not provide clear reasons for rejection, you may want to file feedback with **Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)** at [bnm.gov.my](https://www.bnm.gov.my) if the service was unsatisfactory.
